LINCOLN, Neb. - According to the Lincoln Journal Star, Nebraska receiver De'Mornay Pierson-El (knee/leg) will not be rushed back and isn't likely to participate in spring football practices.
After sitting out during the non-conference schedule with a broken foot, Pierson-El tore his knee and broke his leg against Purdue.
"You want him out there, but I want him to be healthy so I don't want to rush him," Nebraska receiver Keith Williams told the paper. "I don't want to push it. If he's not ready to go, you just have to adjust and deal with it."
In five games this season, Pierson-El only had 12 catches for 111 yards with a touchdown, but was starting to round into shape after a slow start early in the season.
