Nebraska commit profile: Tony Butler

Nebraska receives a pledge from Ohio defensive back Tony Butler. Scout.com national recruiting analyst Allen Trieu gave his thoughts on the commitment.

Lakewood (OH) St. Edward defensive back Tony Butler has made it official. He is a Nebraska Cornhusker.

Tony Butler is a versatile defensive back because he's shown at his size, he can actually play cornerback," said Scout.com national recruiting analyst Allen Trieu. "For some reason if that doesn't work out, he's got the length and the ball skill to move over to safety. It's an asset to have a 6-foot-1 kid who can play on the outside. He's physical in coverage, but he can also come up and support the run."

Seldom thrown on during 2015, Butler recorded 45 tackles, one interception and 12 pass breakups this season.
