Report: Nebraska DT Kevin Williams to play in 2016

According to a social media report, Nebraska defensive tackle Kevin Williams will return in 2016.

Nebraska’s defensive tackle spot will be a little better off in 2016.

According to a social media report regarding the Lincoln Journal Star’s Steve Sipple, senior defensive tackle Kevin Williams will return this fall. The sixth-year senior’s status was in doubt after it was rumored the former Ohio prep was considering hanging it up.

Williams appeared in eight games in 2015, logging two starts and just four tackles. He also recovered a fumble.

It was also reported Williams wouldn’t participate in spring football due to a wrist injury. With the decision by juniors Maliek Collins and Vincent Valentine to declare for the NFL early, the lack of depth will cause senior Greg McMullen to move inside
