After visiting Nebraska over the weekend, Olathe (Kan.) North senior safety Isaiah Simmons will visit Michigan on Wednesday. He will then make a trek to Clemson later in the week. The senior confirmed the news with Big Red Report on Tuesday night.
Both schools have been late additions to his recruitment, but both thought to be serious contenders. Nebraska appears to be the only other school he’s considering among the three.
The Huskers like the three-star prospect at both safety and wide receiver, but have told Simmons he can play wide receiver to start his career.
“He does a bit of everything for Olathe North -- playing both sides of the ball at safety and wide receiver -- and he does it all very well,” said Scout.com national recruiting analyst Greg Powers. “On defense, he is good in coverage and makes plays when the ball is in the air. he is also a headhunter and will deliver the big hits on receivers or running backs. On offense, he score when he gets his hands on the ball. His athleticism jumps out on tape instantly.”
