Arizona Prep TE Bryce Gilbert is offered by Nebraska

With likely two tight ends being taken in Nebraska's 2017 class, the Huskers offered one of Arizona's hottest prospects on Monday night.

Bryce Gilbert remains the state of Arizona's hottest prospect, adding his fourth offer in a week, this one coming from Nebraska.

The Gilbert Higley star also has been offered by Arizona, Arizona State and Hawaii.

Until a few days ago, Gilbert had no offers, so how does he feel about all of the recent attention? "It's amazing," he says. "The it's unreal feelings to get these offers or to even have one offer. I've always wanted free schooling let alone to go play football as well."

Gilbert also was a star basketball player but decided to focus on football and has added twenty pounds since the season ended. "Once I chose what sport I loved most I felt like I could really excel at that sport and have the opportunity to play next level," he comments.

He regarding the Cornhusker offer, he says, "I talked to Coach Thompson. He asked how my other offers came about and we talked about some random things but he said he liked my size, athleticism and hands. I know Nebraska has great tradition. I've been told they have awesome facilities but I don't know much more."

Gilbert (6-5 230) had a productive junior season for Higley, catching 65 passes for 1,056 yards and 16 scores.
