The wait for Nebraska fans is nearly over. Next week, four-star wide receiver Keyshawn Johnson Jr. will make his decision. After six trips to Lincoln, will the Huskers be his team?
Johnson is the nation's No. 140 overall player and considered a top five wide receiver in the state of California for the 2017 class. He's also considering Alabama, Ohio State, Clemson and USC.
“Regardless of where I go, I’m going to recruit,” said Johnson. “When I go to a school, I’m going to make sure I’m surrounded by the best. I’m going to recruit the best DBs so I can get work every single day. Pat is already a good quarterback, but they need more quarterbacks to throw me the ball.
“No matter where I go, I’m going to find the best players to play with me. I feel like that’s not going to be an issue at all. I feel like I have a pretty good word and if I say something is good, people are going to trust me. Wherever I go, I’m going to recruit as hard as I can. With Nebraska offering all these guys that I know out West that I know, if I was to commit there I think it would make recruiting easy for me.”
