Scout takes a look at the top ten quarterbacks in the West in the 2017 class before the spring evaluation period...

The Texas A&M commit led the Gaels to the 2015 National Championship by Scout and he was a First Team Underclass All-American by Scout.

2. Dylan McCaffrey, Highlands Ranch (Colo.) Valor Christian

The Michigan commit helped lead Valor to a state championship in 2015, just like older brothers Max and Christian did.

3. Tua Tagovailoa, Honolulu (Hawaii) St. Louis

The lefty from the same program that produced former Heisman winner Marcus Mariota named a top eight of Alabama, Arizona, Hawaii, Mississippi, Texas A&M, USC, UCLA and Washington this week.

4. Ryan Kelley, Chandler (Ariz.) Basha

Oregon picked up a pledge from Kelley in November during an honorable mention all-state season.

5. Tristan Gebbia, Calabasas (Calif.)

Gebbia has been a key part of the surge in the Calabasas program, helping them win a CIF-SS title as a junior.  He has a top five of Nebraska, Ole Miss, Washington, Washington State and West Virginia.

6. Braxton Burmeister, La Jolla (Calif.) Country Day

A longtime commit to Arizona, Burmeister opened up his recruitment last week and will take visits to South Carolina, Indiana, Utah and Washington.

7. Connor Neville, Wilsonville (Ore.)

Neville has offers from Boise State, Hawaii and Washington State but is expecting a number of schools to come watch him throw this spring.

8. Jack Sears, San Clemente (Calif.)

Sears has offers from the ACC, Big 12, Pac-12 and SEC and figures to attract a lot of eyes during the evaluation period.

9. Chase Garbers, Corona del Mar (Calif.)

Garbers was QB MVP at The Opening Los Angeles and earned an invite to the Elite 11 Semifinals and his recruitment has taken off since.

10. Tyler Lytle, Anaheim (Calif.) Servite

Lytle took over for Oregon quarterback Travis Waller and has earned offers from a number of Power 5 schools from across the country.
