Nebraska Prospects All Over The Top 10 CBs In The West List

Scout takes a look at the top ten cornerbacks in the West in the 2017 class before the spring evaluation period and it includes quite a few Nebraska prospects - including Darnay Holmes.

1. Darnay Holmes, Calabasas (Calif.)

One of the best all-around football players in the West, Holmes is the No. 2 cornerback nationally and a true lockdown corner.

2. Thomas Graham, Rancho Cucamonga (Calif.)

Graham is the best prospect in a loaded Rancho Cucamonga secondary and gave an early commitment to USC.

3. Deommodore Lenoir, Los Angeles (Calif.) Salesian

Could be the best prospect to come out of Salesian, which has exploded talent wise the last couple of years, with offers spanning the country.

4. Elijah Gates, Buena Park (Calif.)

Few corners have looked as good as Gates has this spring, who made a big jump in the Scout 300.

5. Alex Perry, Las Vegas (Nev.) Bishop Gorman

Perry has been a stalwart in the secondary for the Gaels and helped them win the national championship on Scout.

6. Elijah Molden, West Linn (Ore.)

Oregon's top prospect and the top skill prospect in the Northwest, the homestate Oregon Ducks would love to keep this legacy in green and gold but Stanford is making a big push.

7. Jaylon Redd, Rancho Cucamonga (Calif.)

Redd had a terrific junior year and has looked very good on the camp circuit this spring.

8. Keith Taylor, Anaheim (Calif.) Servite

Taylor gave Washington a nice Christmas present when he committed to them on Christmas Eve.

9. Elijah Blades, Pasadena (Calif.) Muir

Blades was the fastest man at The Opening Los Angeles regional and has shined in offseason events.

10. Elijah Hicks, La Mirada (Calif.)

Hicks was the top defensive back on the Matadores state championship squad.

-National Recruiting Analyst Greg Biggins and Director of Recruiting Brandon Huffman compiled these rankings.
