Nebraska will host four-star Calabasas high school (Cali.) quarterback Tristan Gebbia on Tuesday. The new was confirmed by Big Red Report in a message to a Scout.com source.
"I just wanted to see the non-football side of Nebraska," said Gebbia in a text to Big Red Report late on Monday night. "I'm most likely going to be majoring in business. I want to see it."
Gebbia, who will visit Ole Miss then later in the week, has already visited Nebraska three previous times. It appears the Huskers and Rebels are his finalists. Gebbia will leave Nebraska on Wednesday night.
The California prep threw for 4,435 yards in 2015, hitting on 45 touchdowns to just nine interceptions, leading Calabasas to a 13-2 record and the CIF Division II-A semi-finals. Gebbia completed nearly 63 percent of his passes.
"I want to find the right place and it has to have that family feel," Gebbia has recently said. "I want to have a good bond with the coaches and the players and feel like I'm at home and part of a family.
"I also am big on education, so I want to make sure that the school is good and has a good reputation as well."
In addition to Nebraska and Ole Miss, Gebbia also has offers from Alabama, Louisville, Kentucky, Washington, West Virginia, Syracuse, Arizona State, Washington State and Utah.
With two of Gebbia’s teammates (Johnson Jr. and Marquel Dismuke - 2016) committed or signed with Nebraska, the Huskers appear to be in a good spot with the four-star quarterback.
