LINCOLN, Neb. - After somewhat of a sloppy offensive practice on Tuesday, the Nebraska football team put the pads back on for practice No. 8 on Thursday.
"We had really good energy, a lot of enthusiasm," said offensive coordinator Danny Langsdorf. "We are continue on building on what we were building on before spring break."
With six spring practices and the spring game left, Nebraska's running game will likely get extra looks with the pads back on the players.
"Those shorts practices are tough, because it's not a real look," said Langsdorf, who referred to it as a mental day. "It's really more for guys getting in the right position...as we get pads on, we put a lot more emphasis on the run."
