With a Nebraska offer in hand, Northeastern Oklahoma A&M tight end Mike’Quan Deane will be making a visit to Lincoln in the very near future. The junior college product currently holds offers from the Huskers, Colorado State, Pittsburgh, South Alabama, Syracuse, UAB and UCF.
“I don’t know about the spring game, but I’ll be coming up there in two weeks just for an unofficial visit,” Dean told Big Red Report. “I’m interested in their tradition. My relationship with the staff is pretty good. I’ve been in contact with Nick Smith and Coach Read.”
Deane finished the 2015 season with 14 receptions for 128 yards and three touchdowns.
"I was on the end of the line with my hand on the ground most of the time last season," Deane told Scout.com in a previous article. "I actually really liked doing that a lot because I love to block and pancake guys, but I also love to run routes and get one-on-one matchups with safeties and linebackers."
After failing to qualify out of high school, Dean is on pace to finish his two-year degree in December and will have two years of eligibility where he ends up.
