Nebraska's DL Progress On Display In Red-White Game

Nebraska's defensive line progression will be on display during the annual Red-White game on Saturday.

LINCOLN, Neb. - After 14 spring practices, the Nebraska defensive line's progression will be on display on Saturday in the annual Red-White game.

"The whole d-line is better than they were last year," said offensive tackle Nick Gates. "They have more moves. They are ten times stronger. They are definitely harder to block. Freedom (Akinmoladun) is a lot better. It's definitely hard to block him. It's making me better."

Defensive line coach John Parrella has a motto he wants to see his defensive lineman get two percent better each day. If that is the case, Nebraska should be 28 percent better up front on Saturday.
