Nebraska was one of the first schools to offer IMG Academy (Florida) prospect Santino Marchiol when he lived in Colorado. Now over 30 offers, the linebacker hasn’t forgotten Nebraska’s early scholarship nod.
“They were the first big school to take a chance on me and that is part of the reason I still love their program,” said Marchiol, who is good friends with Nebraska redshirt freshman Eric Lee and Avery Anderson. “Nebraska is an amazing place and the staff is awesome. I still keep in touch with Coach Bray and Coach Riley on a weekly basis.”

It’s unknown if Marchiol will be making a return trip to Lincoln, after visiting campus during the Huskers’ summer camp last year. In the last month, Marchiol has visited Texas A&M, Baylor and Tennessee.
