Scout.com five-star prospect Darnay Holmes wasn’t in Lincoln on Saturday, but the 2017 athlete was closely paying attention to what was happening during the Huskers’ Red-White game.
A teammate of quarterback Tristan Gebbia, wide receive Keyshawn Johnson Jr. and corner Bookie Radley-Hiles, who were all in attendance, Holmes spent much of the afternoon retweeting various photos of California recruits in Lincoln.
He then had a tweet of his own most Nebraska will take special note of.
In a message to Big Red Report, Holmes said he hasn’t scheduled a game to visit and isn’t for sure who will get other official visits, but Nebraska will for sure.
"He said they can't wait to get me back on campus," said Holmes.
Once thought to be deciding in June, Holmes will be pushing back his decision after taking officials this fall. At this point, the junior still is planning on being an early enrollee. UCLA and Stanford are considered Nebraska’s main competition for his services.
