Nebraska was the first school to jump in with a scholarship offer for 2018 Bradenton (Flor.) IMG Academy wide receiver Brian Hightower.
At the time, the wide receiver was at Calabasas high school (Cali.) and attended Nebraska’s summer camp with wide receiver Keyshawn Johnson Jr. It only took a camp performance to see Hightower was worth a scholarship nod.
After playing in California last season, Hightower is now at IMG Academy in Florida and is a four-star prospect. With an offer list that includes schools like Alabama, Florida, Florida State, Ohio State, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Michigan and others, Hightower is getting ready to narrow to ten schools.
It appears Nebraska could be making the cut, after a tweet on Sunday afternoon by the wide receiver.
“He has soft hands and catches everything away from his body, has excellent timing in jump ball situations, is a smooth route runner, very good body control and is even a willing blocker,” said Scout.com national recruiting analyst Greg Biggins. “Hightower is one of those players where the game just looks easy for him and he has a chance to be as good as he wants to be down the line.”
