Nebraska One Of Two Schools Recruiting Four-Star DT Martin Andrus The Hardest

Los Angeles (Calif.) defensive lineman Martin Andrus has a pair of schools recruiting him harder than anyone, which includes Nebraska.

It's a deep year for defensive tackle talent out West and Martin Andrus is one of the best in the region.

At 6-1, 280 pounds, Andrus is a tough matchup on the interior part of the line. He's a tough, physical kid, very strong and shows a quick first step and the ability to get in to the backfield.

Andrus visited USC last weekend for the Trojans Spring Game and the tackle has a strong connection with new DL coach Kenechi Udeze.

"Coach KU is great, that's my guy," Andrus said. "We talk him almost every day and USC is showing me a lot of love right now. He told me he actually went to L.A High before he transferred. We talked a lot at their Junior Day as well and we have a strong connection and USC is a school that I'm very interested in right now.

"I also talk to Coach Parella at Nebraska on a daily basis too. They're recruiting California really hard this year and started the #CaliBraska movement. I don't have any visits set up with anyone right now but I definitely want to get out there and check out the place at some point."

This weekend, Andrus will head out to UCLA for the Bruins Spring Game.

"I talk to UCLA every week, they're on me hard as well," Andrus said. "I haven't gotten out there for any spring practices yet so I'm looking forward to the visit and checking them out.

"I don't have anything else set up right now. I wanted to take a few other spring trips but I don't have anything coming up. I might just wait and take my official visits in the fall and right now, I'm still open to everyone."
