Nebraska Target Santino Marchiol At The Opening

Nebraska was one of the first schools to jump in the mix for linebacker Santino Marchiol. takes a look at Marchiol at The Opening.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Santino Marchiol possesses both the physicality to meet a ball carrier in the hole and the athleticism to drop into coverage to blanket a running back streaking downfield.

Those skills have the Scout four-star prospect from the 2017 class high on the recruiting board for the Tennessee Volunteers.

The 6-foot-2, 225-pounder transferred from Cherry Creek High School in Englewood, Colorado, to IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida, over the winter.

Marchiol rates by Scout as the No. 4 outside linebacker in the Sunshine State. He visited Tennessee's campus to watch the Orange & White game on April. 16.

Take a look at Marchiol competing at The Opening Charlotte at Mallard Creek High School on Sunday.
