Nebraska HC Mike Riley No. 43 Overall In CBS Power Five Coach Rankings

Despite a 6-7 record last season, Nebraska head coach Mike Riley appears to be on the rise in CBS's annual power-five coach rankings.

CBSSports.com's annual power five college football coach rankings are out and Nebraska's Mike Riley checks in at No. 43 overall. His ranking would put him No. 8 in the Big Ten. Riley's national rank is up five spots from last year.

Mike Riley, Nebraska (48): Riley's first season at Nebraska was a rough adjustment for all involved, and it'll be interesting to see how things go in Year No. 2.

The Big Ten has two coaches in the top five, with Ohio State's Urban Meyer ranking No. 2 overall and Michigan State's Mark Dantonio at No. 5.

Riley has a 99-87 overall record as a coach in D-1 football. He's coming off a 6-7 season at Nebraska, where the Huskers struggled much of the year, but were able to beat Michigan State and UCLA in their bowl game.
