Utah DT Stevie Ts’ikolovatu Is Transferring And Nebraska Could Be A Destination

Nebraska could be a landing spot for a Pac-12 graduate transfer defensive tackle.

According to UteSportsReport.com, part of the Scout.com network, Utah defensive tackle Stevie Tu’ikolovatu is transferring. As a graduate transfer, the DT would be able to play immediately and is interested in Nebraska after visiting this weekend.

In 13 games this season, Tu’ikolovatu had 28 tackles, two sacks and logged four fumble recoveries. While starts have been limited in his career, the senior has played in 25 contests the last two seasons. Tu’ikolovatu is 6-foot-1 and 320-pounds.

USC is thought to be another school the former Salt Lake City native could head to. In 2014, Tu’ikolovatu played in 12 games and recorded eight tackles.

Nebraska defensive coordinator Mark Banker told reporters after the Red-White spring game the coaching staff would be open to a graduate transfer, on the heels of news of Greg McMullen's decision to forgo his senior year.
