Appearing on KXTG radio in Oregon, Nebraska head coach Mike Riley said he finished just a few weeks ago wrapping up 1-on-1s with each player on the roster.
"Little bit about football, but mostly about how they are doing, life. How they feel they are fitting in at Nebraska," said Riley. "I will have 144 guys this next fall, we have a ton of walk-ons. I don't get the chance every week to touch (base) with each guy and see how things are going. This is just a little thing to do, but does make a difference."
The whole interview is below, but during his interview Riley specifically talks the Huskers' matchup with Oregon.
"It will be fun to play them again," said Riley, who played the Ducks on a yearly basis when at Oregon State. "They have done a great job and we had a hard time beating them at the end for sure. It's exciting to get another shot.
"I was just talking to Keaton Kristick, he's a GA for us, and he was working on Oregon the other day. It's a part of our conversation. It is exciting for everybody. It'll be a great event.
