The Nation's No. 1 WR Locks In Visit To Nebraska On Friday

The nation's No. 1 wide receiver, Joseph Lewis, is visiting Nebraska this weekend.

Update 6/17: Lewis posted on his social media account the visit will not happen after an emergency forced him to miss his flight. He's looking to reschedule next week.

After initially telling weeks ago he was done with summer visits and would be taking an official visit to Nebraska in September, Los Angeles (Cali.) Augustus Hawkins wide receiver Joseph Lewis tweeted on Thursday he will be in Nebraska on Friday for an unofficial visit.

The nation's No. 1 wide receiver is visiting during the Huskers' Friday Night Lights camp. In a text to Big Red Report, Lewis said he "might be participating" but wasn't for sure. How long will he be staying? Check out Big Red Report's Red Zone for more information from Scout national recruiting analyst Greg Biggins.

Lewis has a long offer list and would likely not be turned away by any school in the country at the wide receiver spot. Currently it is believed Nebraska, USC, Oregon, Arizona and Oklahoma are standing out the most for the soon to be senior. According to, Lewis caught 51 balls for 852 yards and eight touchdowns in 2015.
