After pulling his name out of the NBA Draft, senior guard Andrew White will transfer from Nebraska.
“I spoke with Andrew late last evening in which he asked me how he can proceed with a release from Nebraska," said head coach Tim Miles in a statement. "There have been discussions with Andrew and his father about Andrew's place in our program for months and this is his decision. Even though I am extremely disappointed, he will be given a complete release as the logistics are handled this week. We will move on. I am truly excited about our team and next season.”
White, who transferred to Nebraska from Kansas, averaged 16.6 points and 5.9 rebounds per game - good for honorable all-mention in the Big Ten.
The 6-foot-7, 216-pound guard, worked out for multiple NBA clubs, including the Boston Celtics, Chicago Bulls, Utah Jazz and Detroit Pistons.
