Louisiana Prep Fullback Ben Miles Pledges To Nebraska

Baton Rouge (Louisiana) Catholic high school fullback Ben Miles pledged his services to Nebraska head coach Mike Riley and crew on Sunday.

With an offer in hand, Baton Rouge (Louisiana) Catholic high school fullback Ben Miles visited Nebraska for the Huskers' Red-White game. Apparently the son of LSU head coach Les Miles saw enough.

With high school fall camps set to begin in the coming weeks, the fullback decided to get his announcement out of the way.

Miles was with his entire family on Sunday afternoon and opted to talk with Scout.com on Monday about his decision.

“They have recruited me to be similar to Andy Janovich,” Miles told Scout in a previous conversation. “I thank that guy because they have looked at my tape and said that I could be similar. That is why I have the opportunity to go there."

Miles talked with Big Red Report after his initial visit.

“It was awesome. The tradition is awesome. It was a really good experience,” said Miles on Sunday. “I sort of expected the fan support, because I had heard how crazy the atmosphere was. I was surprised by the city of Lincoln. It was bigger than I thought. I figured it would be in the middle of corn fields (laughter).”

The 6-foot-1, 215-pound prospect picked the Huskers over offers from Boston College, LSU and UTSA.

Stick with Scout.com and we will have the latest with the recruit Monday morning.
