Florida Prep DE Guy Thomas Commits To Nebraska Sight Unseen

Florida prep defensive end Guy Thomas committed to the Huskers sight unseen, but says he has a strong trust for defensive line coach John Parrella

With 20+ offers to his name, Miami (Florida) high school defensive prep Guy Thomas Nebraska on Monday. The three-star prospect is projected as an outside linebacker by Scout.com, but will play defensive end for the Huskers. 


Thomas, who has yet to visit Nebraska, recorded 14 sacks and 15 TFLs during his junior year. 

"I have a great relationship with (defensive line coach) John Parrella," Thomas told Scout's Corey Bender. "We talk every day, like about football, life and issues.

"I trust him, and he's a great coach with a lot of experience."

When did he know that Nebraska was the choice?

"Just when he kept staying in contact with me, like constantly showing that he wants me," Thomas said. "It's something I really wanted to do, and I did it."

At this point Thomas is still scheduling an official visit to Nebraska.
