Oregon Honors Nebraska Punter Sam Foltz With Flowers Laid At 27-Yard Line

Oregon laid flowers on the 27-yard line in a sign of major respect for Nebraska on Saturday - honoring the late Sam Foltz.

In a major sign of respect, Oregon placed flowers on the 27-yard line during pregame to honor former Nebraska punter Sam Foltz on Saturday. Foltz tragically lost his life in a car accident this summer, while serving as a mentor at a special teams camp in Wisconsin. Foltz would have been a senior this season and was regarded as one of the top punters in the nation.

The move by Oregon drew praise from both Nebraska fans in attendance and the Huskers' official Twitter account.

Against Fresno State Nebraska took a delay of game penalty on their first punt of the season, choosing to not field a punter in honor of Foltz. Fresno State, in a classy move of their own, declined the penalty.

Here is another shot of the flowers.
