Nebraska guard Tanner Farmer (ankle) and receiver Alonzo Moore (shoulder) are both doubtful for Saturday’s game against Illinois according to head coach Mike Riley.
Moore has played the last two games with a shoulder injury, catching six balls for 109 yards. On Saturday against Northwestern, he left in the second half after catching a 59-yard reception in the first half.
On the season Moore has 12 catches, averaging 25.8 yards per catch, finding the end zone two times.
Farmer went down in the second quarter, being replaced by senior Corey Whitaker. Next week’s bye should give him plenty of time to heal.
If Nebraska needs another guard on Saturday, they could turn to true freshman Boe Wilson, who is currently being slated to redshirt. In addition, redshirt freshman Jalin Barnett is in the mix.
