Former Legendary Nebraska Assistant Coach Milt Tenopir Passes Away

Former longtime Nebraska assistant coach Milt Tenopir has passed away, according to multiple tweets from those inside the Nebraska football program.

Former Nebraska assistant coach Milt Tenopir, who coached the offensive line from 1974 to 2003, passed away on Monday. Tenopir had a long battle with Leukemia. He was 76-years old.

In all, 21 offensive linemen earned 25 All-America honors while leading the Big Red to 13 NCAA rushing titles, during his time as an assistant. Tenopir the last year was a frequent visitor at Nebraska practices and grew a solid relationship with current offensive line coach Mike Cavanaugh.
