Nebraska Injury Report, WR Jordan Westerkamp Back (10-24-16)

A look at the injury report heading into Nebraska's matchup with Wisconsin.

Nebraska might be undefeated, but have been a banged up football team for more than a few games.

On Monday, going into their biggest game of the season against Wisconsin, head coach Mike Riley updated the Huskers’ injury situation.

OT.) David Knevel (ankle) – probable

OT.) Nick Gates (ankle) – probable

WR.) Jordan Westerkamp (back) – probable

TE.) Cethan Carter (shoulder) – out

RB.) Devine Ozigbo (ankle) - probable

Both Knevel and Gates have been on the mend for multiple weeks and Riley said he will try to do everything in his power this week to have them healthier on Saturday.

“I think there is some stability there in the names,” Riley said. “How healthy they can get during the week will be important."

The offense will get a boost from the return of Jordan Westekramp, the Huskers No. 1 wide receiver entering the year. Westerkamp has missed the last two games with a back injury, but is expected to be close to 100 percent. The senior has 17 career touchdowns and over 2,000 career receiving yards.

"It's going to help a lot," said quarterback Tommy Armstrong. "He's excited and I'm excited. The whole team is excited for having another threat out there on offense. It will be nice to have a full unit."
