Buena Park (California) high school wide receiver Jeremiah Hawkins has scheduled an official visit to Nebraska this weekend. The California commitment scheduled the trip shortly after Cal head coach Sonny Dykes was relieved of his duties.
Hawkins and his relationship with Nebraska aren’t exactly new. He showed up on the radar in June of 2015, when he won offensive MVP at the Nebraska satellite camp in California.
Hawkins talked about an official visit to Nebraska earlier in the fall, but it never materialized. He has visited Lincoln once before during the Red-White game earlier this fall.
“I’m still lining up some visits, but next weekend I’m going to Cal,” said Hawkins.
Hawkins has had offers from Arizona State, Colorado, Oregon State, Maryland, Boise State, Utah, Washington, and Washington State during the recruiting process.
