Nebraska prep Chris Walker flips to Huskers from Wyoming

Nebraska prep Chris Walker is taking time to talk over his commitment status with family.

Lincoln (Nebraska) East offensive tackle Chris Walker, a Wyoming commit, visited Nebraska over the weekend as an official visitor.

“I got to spend a lot of time with the coaches and strength staff. The players as well. Overall it was a very good visit,” said Walker. “They want me as an offensive tackle the first year and then after that we will see what the depth is. Whether I go to Nebraska or Wyoming, hopefully I can redshirt.”

Nebraska offensive line coach Mike Cavanaugh’s motto has often been – the five best guys are going to play up front, no matter the position. It is something Walker appreciates.

“I’m going to take a little time. I want to talk about it with my family and coaches,” said Walker. “I don’t know yet the timeline. Nebraska gave me a lot to think about.”

Walker made a pledge to the Cowboys earlier in the fall after feeling comfortable with the coaching staff, facilities and players.

“I have nothing but good things to say about Wyoming,” said Walker.
