After taking just three receivers in the 2017 class, Nebraska is expected to sign at least two to three in 2018.
One of their earlier and most sought after targets is St. Louis (Missouri) Christian Brothers wide receiver Kamryn Babb.
Here is a look.
LOWDOWN: An early member of the Scout.com Top 100, Babb is currently the No. 2 prospect in the state of Missouri, behind defensive tackle Michael Thompson (Nebraska offeree).
Babb isn’t in a hurry to make any sort of decision. He’s looking at multiple schools and we won’t be surprised to see him take his officials.
2018 STATS: 39 receptions, 832 yards and 8 TDs (sophomore year)
OFFERS: 20+ w/ schools such as Nebraska, USC, Texas, Ohio State, LSU, Michigan State, Auburn and Iowa throwing down offers.
WHERE THE HUSKERS STAND: Babb visited Nebraska in the fall and the fact the St. Louis native is willing to make the drive to Lincoln is a good indicator of where the Huskers’ currently sit in his recruitment. Nebraska was his first offer (December 2015) and Babb is a former teammate to current Nebraska sophomore Tre Bryant. Christian Brothers is a school Nebraska wouldn’t mind establishing a pipeline with.
The competition is going to be stiff. But if Nebraska is serious about doing well in the 500-mile radius, this is the type of player they need to land – a national recruit.

Between Kenny Wilhite’s reputation in St. Louis and Keith Williams as a recruiter, we think Nebraska will be in it until the very end, but ultimately he’s going to be a tough pull likely from Ohio State.
