Plano (Texas) Prestonwood 2019 tight end Austin Stogner is nearly two years away from signing, but it hasn't stopped schools from jumping in the mix early for the sophomore.
On Friday, Nebraska was one of those teams. http://www.scout.com/player/214058-austin-stogner?s=204
The Huskers joined Baylor, Oklahoma State, Duke and Texas-San Antonio.
"The Nebraska offer is a big one for me," said Stogner. "I know that they have a great tradition and they use the tight end a lot. "I haven't talked to them much. They have followed me on Twitter and stuff but that's about it."
Here was Greg Powers' thoughts on Stogner at the Opening regional in Houston.
"In a group of tight ends and receivers that included some of the very best the state of Texas has to offer, Stogner came away with the position group MVP award as chosen by the camp's staff," said Powers. "The 6-foot-6, 230-pounder is a long and lean and will be able to bulk up well as he projects to the next level. He was light on his feet for a tall youngster and ran routes consistently and crisply, catching the ball away from his body."
