With offers from multiple Ivy League schools, Chandler (Arizona) Hamilton high school quarterback Tyler Shough visited Nebraska this week. The junior currently doesn't boast an offer from the Huskers, but is getting strong interest from offensive coordinator Danny Langsdorf.

"The highlights were the academic tour and programs for athletes," said Shough. "They were all very welcoming and it was great meeting them."

Currently Shough's D-1 offers are from San Jose State, Western Kentucky, and Hawaii. In addition, Harvard, Yale and Columbia have thrown their offers on the table. He will be taking trips to Arizona State and Harvard down the road.

"Nebraska is pretty interested. I would just say it probably depends on if they are going to have another kid commit soon," said Shough. "They didn't tell me that, but I kind of know it...They said they would be in touch and he (Langsdorf) is coming out later in the spring to Arizona. I might go to a Friday Night Lights camp over the summer as well."

We asked Shough if he felt he fit into Nebraska's offense.

"It is a great fit," said Shough. "I am comfortable going under center as I do here in my high school and with Coach Langsdorf pro-style offense."

Nebraska on Scout will monitor Shough's recruitment going forward. He could be on the verge of blowing up, after a strong showing at the Opening in Los Angeles.

According to Maxpreps.com, Shough hit on 62 percent of his throws in 12 games, throwing for 2,079 yards and 27 touchdowns, to nine interceptions.
