Add Bradenton (FL) IMG Academy defensive tackle Josh Walker to the strong list of spring visitors for Nebraska. Walker, who had been rumored for a while to be coming, confirmed the news with Nebraska on Scout on Wednesday.
"The coaches," said Walker, when asked why he had interest in visiting the Red-White game. "Maybe it is a place I could be a future commit."
Walker is moving from Carrolton high school in Georgia, to IMG for his senior season. It wouldn't be surprising to see his recruitment pick up with the move. Currently, Walker has offers from Notre Dame, UCLA, Boise State, Cal and Michigan State, to name a few.
"Walker plays hard," said Scout.com Florida recruiting analyst Corey Bender. "He is a fierce competitor with a non-stop motor. He gets in and out of his stance well. He plays out of the four-point stance and he fires off the ball low. He shoots his hands, he plays with good leverage, and he is good at shedding blocks. He identifies the ball and he attacks. He has good quickness, he can re-direct and he chases the football. He is not the tallest interior defensive lineman, but he uses that to his advantage. He can improve his moves off the ball and his ability to rush the passer. He is very strong against the run."
We will confirm Walker's plan to attend once again at the Red-White game gets closer.
