Nebraska makes the cut for Cameron Latu

Nebraska has made the cut for Olympus (Salt Lake City) defensive end Cameron Latu.

Salt Lake City (Utah) Olympus high school defensive end Cameron Latu announced his top ten on Wednesday night, with Nebraska making the cut.

Joining the Huskers are Alabama, BYU, Cal, Notre Dame, Oregon, UCLA, USC, Utah and Washington.

According to, Latu had 65 tackles and nine sacks as a junior in 2016.

Latu hasn't mentioned Nebraska often in updates with, but at the same time he has only had a scholarship nod from Nebraska for a month.

"One of the top performers regardless of position was Latu," said national recruiting analyst Greg Powers at the Opening in Dallas. "He made the trek from Utah and earned an invitation to The Opening Finals in July in Oregon thanks to a dominant performance that included a Final Five linemen 1-on-1 spot at the end of the camp. Latu possesses an outstanding frame and showed a consistently fast get-off at the snap. He's garnered offers from across the country and proved he's an elite defensive end prospect against big-time offensive tackles such as five-star Oklahoma pledge Brey Walker and four-star Darrell Simpson. Latu was invited to The Opening Finals."
