Nebraska set to host Houston prep 4-star QB Grant Gunnell

Nebraska is set to host a four-star quarterback in the 2019 class.

With no scholarship ready 2018 quarterbacks expected to hit Nebraska's Red-White game on Saturday, the Huskers will have a standout in the 2019 class in town. 

Houston (Texas) St. Pius X high school quarterback Grant Gunnell, one of the top quarterbacks in the country, will see Lincoln.

In 2016, Gunnell enjoyed a monster sophomore season as he threw for 4,973 yards, 65 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions while completing 70.5 percent of his throws. He also ran for 387 yards and five touchdowns on 6.9 yards per carry to give him 5,360 total yards of offense and 70 total touchdowns.

The soon to be junior has offers from Florida State, LSU, Oklahoma State, UCLA, TCU, Oregon, Baylor and Arkansas to name a few. Gunnell has already been very active on the recruiting trail, taking in many schools over the last few months.

Gunnell wants to visit Florida State in the near future. His grandfather was a quarterback on a Arkansas national championship team in 1964. His parents also attended Arkansas.
