Nebraska kicks off 2019 class with Marequez Beason commitment

Nebraska kicks off the 2019 class with a commitment from four-star prep Marequez Beason.

After checking out the Nebraska spring game on Saturday afternoon, Dallas (Texas) Bishop Dunne class of 2019 athlete Marequez Beason had a big social media announcement on early Saturday evening.

Beason is a Nebraska Cornhusker commit. http://www.scout.com/player/210573-marquez-beason?s=204

Beason already has 10+ offers, despite being close to 22 months away from signing a National Letter of Intent. Nebraska has already had success at Bishop Dunne - last year landing defensive tackle Damion Daniels.

"Family," said Beason in a text, when asked about his decision to commit. "It is a family atmosphere...They were shocked. The campus is amazing."\

According to Maxpreps.com, Beason had over 1,000 all-purpose yards in 2016, finding the end zone 12 times.

We will catch up Beason after he gets back to Dallas.
