Nebraska commit profile: Manuel Allen

A look at Nebraska commit Manuel Allen.

Corona (California) Centennial four-star wide receiver Manuel Allen, a former USC commitment, pledged his services to Nebraska during Red-White weekend.

"Manny is an interesting kid. Nothing he does really surprises me," said national recruiting analyst Greg Biggins. "When he committed to USC, immediately everyone said, 'that is not going to stick.' Sure enough he backed off of it. There was talk about UCLA and then a few other schools. I literally talked to him the day before he committed and he said there was no way he was going to make his commitment. So I'm not suprised by anything. I think Nebraska is the school that has best chance to get his signature. It is a good opportunity for him."

Recently caught up with Allen at the Pylon 7v7 Tournament in Las Vegas.

"Allen has looked good this weekend in Las Vegas, having no problems getting open, catching the ball consistently and using his athleticism to make plays after the catch," said Biggins at the time. "He has a great frame, is a fluid athlete and there's no question the upside is there."

In the video above, Biggins talks more about the junior.
