Nolen adds two offers

Last season's efforts have yielded Todd Nolen three offers so far to play wide receiver in college. The 6-foot-2 and 175 pound receiver from Hampton HS in Hampton, Va. also has his leaders to a list of the same three.

The first to offer Todd Nolen was Nebraska. Since then Nolen has accumulated offers from two home-state schools and Nebraska who was a clear leader as little as two weeks ago sees the leader board with two new names on it.

"Virginia offered me last week," Nolen said. "I think that they offered me on the 16th. Virginia Tech offered me through my coach on Monday or on Tuesday. Nebraska offered me some time ago."

The new offers haven't made Nolen feel content that there are opportunities at more than one school to play football. Instead, he sees it as an opportunity.

"The new offers make me want to work harder and see how many more I can get."

Nebraska was a solid leader two weeks ago as Nolen was only holding an offer from the Cornhuskers. Have things changed?

"Those three that have offered are on top. Nebraska, Virginia and Virginia Tech are my top three."

Todd is going to do some camps this summer as well as hit an unofficial visit or two. So far though only area schools to Nolen are getting camp consideration.

"I am going to go to the Nike Camp at Virginia on the 18th. Then I am going to try and go to Maryland, Tennessee and some other local ones."

Although Nebraska is not in the area Nolen has plans that are including visiting Lincoln.

"I am going to take an unofficial there this summer. I'm not sure when, but it will be in the early part of summer."

One of the reasons distance will not be a problem with Nebraska is obviously with the change of offense that they are planning. Additionally, having new head coach Bill Callahan doesn't hurt either.

"Having Bill Callahan there in Nebraska makes me want to go there more."

Last season Nolen hauled in 27 passes for 728 yards. He also had 11 touchdowns.
