Another visitor expected this weekend in Lincoln!

Kevin Lopina will be racking up some frequent flyer miles this week. After he makes a trip to Tempe, Ariz. he boards another flight for Nebraska on Friday to take in the spring game.

Kevin Lopina is going to see some country this week, literally. His journey starts out in the Bay Area of California, goes to Tempe, Ariz. and from there to the middle of the Midwest to Lincoln, Neb. for the spring game.

"I leave Thursday for Arizona State," Lopina said. "From there on Friday I head to Lincoln for the spring game on Saturday."

Lopina is currently holding a Nebraska offer and is interested in the Cornhuskers. Given where he has been living all of his life and where Nebraska is there are some things that he is wanting to experience first-hand.

"I want to get to see the people there and the town. I want to see if I like it. It's going to be a lot different than the Bay Area. I also would like to see how they are going to play."

How they play and what they are going to play are two different things. Nebraska will only be 15 practices into implementing an entirely new offense. There are some expectations though by west coast offense quarterback recruits. But, there are some reasons why it's a bit different for Kevin.

"I know Bill Callahan's son and I have spoke with his father a few times since Nebraska has offered me. There is a comfort factor I guess with him being there."

Kevin is coming off of a knee injury that ended his season last year. The recovery though is going good and is back working out with the team doing full practices with no limitations.
