Quietly hiding in Katy, Texas may be one of the best-kept recruiting secrets of the year, so far. It is about to change for him though with offers rolling in and other major attention looking like they will offer.
Don't look for him on any pre-season all-American lists because he won't be there. Those lists and a dollar will buy you a Coke and in this case that never was truer. Queito Teasley
has quietly burst onto the recruiting scene.
James Hale of OU Insider is reporting that Teasley is holding six offers already and is receiving other recruiting interest.
With offers in hand from Kansas, Pittsburgh, Nebraska, Wisconsin, Texas Tech and Tulsa the Katy Cinco Ranch stand out is still receiving significant interest from Oklahoma and Texas.
With Teasley's size at 6-foot-1 and 175 and carrying 4.5/40 speed he is being projected to most as a running back at the next level. The Sooners are recruiting him as a defensive back however.
Teasley will be a three-year starter at running back and also started in the secondary last year. However, he likes playing running back the best. As a sophomore Teasley rushed for 930 yards and 10 touchdowns and then last year he went over 1,000 yards and scored 15 touchdowns.
Teasley can bench 275 pounds and he has a 35-inch vertical jump. This spring Teasley went to the Nike combine at LSU and he plans to attend the OU and Texas A&M summer camp.
Last year Teasley earned all-district honors as a running back.
