"Yes, I have offers from Maryland and Penn State," Navarre said. "My favorites have always been Penn State and Maryland. It's always been down to two schools. They are alone and then there are the rest of them."
The rest of them is a pretty long list. While Penn State and Maryland are the only ones to have ponied up offers so far other schools have been there to see him at his school. "Temple, Boston College, Virginia, Notre Dame and Ohio State have all been to my school."
As far as interest being showed to Navarre, Penn State has always showed him a lot of interest. "Penn State is up there. Virginia is showing a lot of interest. All of the schools that have come to visit me are showing the most interest."
When it comes to playing the defensive end position Navarre is a natural. "I'm aggressive. I am always pursuing the ball. I am trying to be the leader out there for our team."
Navarre plays offense as well as a fullback. Maryland has actually talked to him about playing fullback, but in the end it will be where he wants to play.
"I've played fullback the last two years. I don't get a lot of carries. I block really well though. The back that I blocked for as a sophomore gained 1500+ yards. As a junior the running back gained 1700+ yards."
Nebraska was in early contact with Navarre and since then there has been a noticeable silence. "I haven't heard from them in a while. I called them once after they asked my coach to call them. I haven't had any mail in a while either. I sent some tape to them. Maybe they're waiting on that."
The camp plans include another stop at each of his leaders for camps at Penn State and Maryland. There aren't any other unofficial visits set yet, but it is still possible for Navarre to make some extra trips.
