Another Texan holding Nebraska offer

Nebraska has been deep into Texas to make one of their latest offers. It's no secret that they are looking for wide receiver help and they went looking in Houston recently.

The wide receiver position needs some upgrading and that is exactly what Brandon La Fell can offer to the Cornhuskers. The 6-foot-3 and 180 pound wide receiver from Houston Lamar is now up to five offers.

"There are five offers so far with Nebraska, Kansas, Texas A&M, Houston and Arizona," L Fell said. "Nebraska is the latest to offer."

"Bill Callahan sent me the letter and the paperwork for the offer on Monday or Tuesday. I spoke to Coach Blake today as a matter of fact. He's a good recruiter."

La Fell knows about Callahan and where he comes from, but what La Fell didn't know was about where Coach Blake was from before coming to Nebraska.

"He told me that he was with the Cowboys while they were winning their titles there in Dallas. He was also at Oklahoma. I think that he was the head coach. He told me that they were going to change the offense at Nebraska."

The change is offense is drawing some attention from the nation's best who want to develop their skills to play in the NFL. The majority of the offensive staff have pro experience and they know what it takes to be in the pros.

Brandon may have what it takes to be at Nebraska though. He is a strong receiver who is productive. "I run good routes. I have good hands and I have a lot of speed."

Last year La Fell had 41 receptions for 521 yards and 10 touchdowns. The 6-foot-3 and 180 pound La Fell runs a 4.5/40 which gives him that big-play ability that is needed at Nebraska.

As of right now La Fell is planning on taking an official this fall to Nebraska. Although distance may figure into his decision he said, "No, Nebraska isn't too far away. I really don't care about distance when it comes to getting a good education and playing early."
