NU offer on the way for Bama WR

Call it a given. The verbal offer has been extended and the paperwork is on its way for Careg Bonner from Nebraska. Nebraska isn't the only one sending paperwork either.

So far there are two offers in writing for Careg Bonner. Alabama and Mississippi State both have sent the paperwork to Bonner already. They won't be the only ones for long as Craig Bonner is expecting a lot of mail.

"I have the two offers at home from Alabama and Mississippi State. I a lot of people say that they are sending the offers right now," Bonner said.

"I got a call from Clemson today and they said that they are offering. Tennessee, Michigan, North Carolina State, Nebraska, South Carolina and Kentucky all said that they are offering."

Nebraska has extended a verbal offer to Bonner by Coach Randy Jordan. "Coach Jordan has called and came by my school."

Bonner is a physical specimen coming in at 6-foot-3 and 230 pounds. Last year he had 59 receptions for 929 yards and 13 touchdowns. Bonner runs a 4.8/40 and could grow into a flex tight end.

As of right now Bonner is claiming a top four of Alabama, Michigan, North Carolina State, Tennessee and Mississippi State. "Those are the ones that I really know the most about."

When asked what he would like to know about Nebraska he responded, "The temperature and climate. Their room and board and how their practices are run. Most of my other questions will be answered during the season."

"I wouldn't mind taking an official there (to Nebraska) at all if Coach Bill Callahan spreads it out like he did when he was in Oakland."

Qualifying should be a non-issue for Bonner who carries a solid GPA and recently scored a 20 on his ACT.
