Miami DB has tentative plans to visit Nebraska!

The offers continue to come for Miami (Fla.) Edison defensive back Chris Chancellor. Since BigRedReport last spoke to him he has doubled up the offer list...and then some.

The one big difference you may see at Nebraska this year as opposed to last year will be a little more man-to-man defense. When you say that the lights in Chris Chancellor's eyes light up.

"I take gambles and make big plays. I like playing physical on the ball and I break down the route of the receiver," Chancellor said.

He watched Deion Sanders growing up and grew up a Florida State fan. The 5-foot-9 and 155 pound Chancellor made some big plays last year. He intercepted five passes and batted away another 27. He also had over 30 tackles.

His Nike camp performance was impressive too after he intercepted the first pass thrown his way and then intercepted another. He also batted away another two passes.

The offers are finding their way to Chancellor who only had six or seven offers a month or so ago is now well into the double-figures.

"Yeah I've gotten more. Oklahoma State, Maryland, Southern Illinois, Rutgers, Clemson, Syracuse, Michigan State, Southern Florida and Louisiana - Lafayette. I would also say that I have a Miami offer."

When asked for his leaders Chancellor said, "Miami, Florida State, Oklahoma State, North Carolina State and Nebraska."

Chancellor hasn't taken any recent unofficial visits and he doesn't have any planned. He is also not planning on attending any other camps.

He is in the process though of thinking about his official visits although he hasn't set any of them up yet. "I would say Florida State, North Carolina State, Oklahoma State, Nebraska and try to set one up to Auburn."

He isn't planning on taking his trips until the season ends so don't anticipate an early commitment from Chancellor. He is also looking at running track in college.

"I do the 100m, 200m, 4x100m, 4x400m and long jump. I would say that I like long jump the best, but I am best at the 100m. My best time was a 10.7 in the 100m and I can jump like 22 feet."
