Massive Defensive Tackle Has 20 Offers

If defensive tackle Kade Weston cannot remember the names of the coaches recruiting him, there might just be a good reason. Weston, it seems, is a pretty popular guy right now, and with his senior season looming, stands to become even more popular this fall. Defensive linemen don't typically make 114 tackles in a season, but that is what Kade Weston did last year, to go along with 14 sacks, five forced fumbles, and a safety.

Standing nearly 6-6, and weighing 315 pounds, Weston holds "19 or 20" written scholarship offers and "4 or 5" verbal offers from a list that includes Nebraska, Virginia, Virgina Tech, Penn State, Iowa, Rutgers, and Maryland.  His goal was to narrow down his list of college choices by the end of summer - - a task he plans on tackling next week.  Right now, however, he has no favorites.  His only camp appearance this summer was a  one day camp at the University of Georgia, where the Bulldogs offered him a scholarship to go along with those already mentioned.

In addition to his size, Weston claims a bench press of 325 pounds, squat of 490, and a 5.1 in the 40.  He is currently taking classes to prepare for the SAT, and has a core GPA of 2.6.
