Long List of Suitors for "The Duke"

Atlanta Washington High School is the home of 6-5,325 lb. offensive tackle prospect Duke Robinson. It is also the frequent stopping point for college football coaches eager to peddle the merits of their program to this young giant. Teams such as Georgia, Florida, Florida State, Alabama, Auburn. UCLA, Tennessee, Oklahoma, Miami, Arkansas, Clemson, South Carolina, and Nebraska are among those who have already extended offers to Robinson, although he admittedly couldn't remember the entire list.

Robinson currently has a favorite list of Georgia, LSU, and Miami, but admits to wavering almost daily. While Georgia is his current leader, he hinted that if signing day were today, he might throw out a surprise and commit to either Oklahoma or Florida. His only camp appearance was at Auburn University, where he "did pretty good." If he were setting up visits today, he would be heading to Oklahoma, Miami, UCLA, and Nebraska - - with the remaining suitors fighting it out for the fifth and final visit.

Robinson's interest in Nebraska was initiated by new Husker running backs coach Randy Jordan. Nebraska is "sending me mail every day," and that attention has Duke beginning to think about the possibility of at least visiting the Huskers. Named to the Georgia AAAA All-State team as a junior, Robinson is a force to be reckoned with on the field. With incredible size, Duke claims a 40 time of 4.9, and strength numbers of 335 on the bench and a max of 405 in squats. His GPA is 2.9, and he is scheduled to receive the results of his SAT scores next week
