Wallace sets official to Nebraska

Nebraska has put an emphasis on bringing in some very solid high school wide receivers this fall. In attendence for the first game will be Roberto Wallace who could immediately help out the passing game in Lincoln.

The words used by Bill Callahan this year have been to find the big three. The big three are a quarterback, running back and the wide receiver. Nebraska got the quarterback in Harrison Beck and is in on some very good running backs and receivers.

Roberto Wallace has a lot of upside to his game. His real game was soccer and only started to play football a year ago. The 6-foot-3 and 200 pound Wallace is now going through practice and has set his first official visit.

"I'm really banged up from 'hell week'", Wallace said. "It was just our second day. It's wild and crazy. All the conditioning all day, I'm tired. I'm beat up all over."

"Tomorrow will be our third say. We have our first scrimmage on August 27 and our first game is September 4."

This summer, Wallace was trying to improve some important parts of his game. "I am trying to get faster and stronger. I also want to keep my good hands."

Wallace is up to 11 offers with the last offer coming from Oregon. His first offer was from Nebraska and has set up his first official to Nebraska.

"I am going to Nebraska on September 4. I am planning on taking an official to San Diego State, Michigan State and Oregon. Maybe by the fourth visit I'll be ready to make a decision."

Wallace is looking to experience what real Nebraska football is all about. People can talk to people about the consecutive sell-outs and the sea of red, but Wallace wants to see it.

"I want to see what it feels like to attend a game there and the crowd. That's about it. I want to get to know more about Nebraska. I think that I am going to visit with Russell Tialavea."

Right now Wallace is claiming his leaders as San Diego State, Nebraska, and Oregon State. He is planning on majoring in business management.

The stakes of the official visit weekend just went up for Husker fans who will already be hosting a number of other players on September 4!
