Add to that list Anthony Crosby from Stockton (Calif.) St. Mary's High School. The 6-foot-1 and 195 pound Crosby is up to five offers so far and is poised to get more from his play this coming fall.
"I'm up to five offers. I have offers from Nebraska, Arizona State, San Diego State, Boise State and Wyoming," Crosby said.
While he is known as a clutch wide receiver all of his offers aren't to play wide receiver in college. "Nebraska wants me as a safety. I'll be there next weekend."
"I've never been to Nebraska. I heard that Lincoln is a football town. They love football. The coaches there write me a lot. I want to get down there and meet them."
Crosby isn't particularly worried about which side of the ball he is recruited for. He just wants the opportunity to play college football. "It's good. They write me all the time that I am that corner or that safety that they need so that they don't have to worry about one side of the field during a game. I mean, it's different."
What different? The fact that he is being recruited as a safety or the attention that Nebraska is giving to Crosby? "Coach Wagner has been recruiting me. Just a couple of days ago I received eight letters from Nebraska and all from different coaches including Coach Callahan. I get them in one big FedEx package. I like it. They are just showing their interest in me."
Crosby attended the Nike camp, MSL camp and the USC camp this summer. While he can't remember exact numbers at each camp he is pretty sure that the one number that was constant was his 40 time. He consistently clocked in at the 4.6/40 range. He also had a 31" vertical at MSL and repped 185 16 times at Nike.
Crosby was looking to improve his quickness this summer. "I was trying to improve my quickness in my feet and my strength. My overall strength in my upper-body."
At this point Crosby is also planning on officially visiting Arizona State on September 16. The plan for Crosby right now is to take all five officials. But, the problem may be to wait for a few more offers to choose any more places to visit.
It's not totally out of the question that he could leave Nebraska with giving his commit though. "If I like Nebraska, I mean really, really like it, I could see myself committing while I was there on my trip."
