"That visit changed a lot of things for me"

If there was one word you could use to describe Russell Tialavea's visit, he would say "impressed" will work just fine. It worked for him, it worked for a crowd drenched in red and it didn't hurt that NU dominated their opponent for this new staff's debut. Tialavea was impressed, but just how impressed would be the question Husker fans want asked. Here's what he had to say.

He was impressed with his official to Nebraska. No, let me restate that. He was REALLY impressed. "The fans are crazy." he said. "I was expecting something like that, but to see it, that was incredible."

He was impressed with the coaches. "I got along with everyone, but Callahan, he's a really nice man." he said. "I like his accent, it's wierd."

Once again though, he was impressed with the experience as a whole. "I haven't seen anything like that before." he said. "Their defense played great and I put myself in their shoes during that game. It just made you want to play."

Tialeva has one official visit left that he's sure to be visiting, this one to probably the biggest competition NU has for his services. "I'll be visiting BYU in a few weeks." Russell said. "They are playing USC."

The visit to Nebraska has changed things though because it seems like the pressure to possibly attend BYU could still not be enough. "That visit to Nebraska, it changed a lot of things for me." he said. "I know when I visit BYU, it's going to be nice, but it won't be anything like what I just saw."

"Everything about Nebraska is great."

There is pressure indeed to go to BYU and who's to say that is where he eventually ends up. A decision could come shortly after his official to see the Cougars play, but Russell doesn't know what to think right now. "It's going to be hard." he said. "I've never seen anything like what I saw at Nebraska and I probably won't see it again. I don't know, but I guess I just have to take my visits and see how it all feels after that."

Tialavea said that he's also looking at Oregon State and Kansas State.
